In the outfitting work of space system products, confirming drawings and procedure manuals requires a significant amount of time. To resolve this issue, development aimed at applying AR technology has been underway since fiscal 2022 in collaboration with the Digital Innovation Headquarters, and an approach combining "switching instruction methods utilizing AR glasses" and "constructing a simulated work environment using a pipe mockup" was proposed. As a result, work time was reduced by half, and it was confirmed that work quality equivalent to that of experienced workers could be guaranteed even by novice workers. Furthermore, the use of the pipe mockup allowed improvement and training to be conducted in parallel with the outfitting work, promoting strengthened collaboration among departments and the early detection and resolution of problems. In the future, resolving issues such as 3D data acquisition, human resource development, and the availability of AR glasses will be pursued toward practical application.
