Scrubber for high power engines
The unique rectangular tower offers superior space efficiency, and especially in ultra large container ships(*) it is possible to achieve "zero" reduction in the number of loaded containers due to the installation of a scrubber.
(*) For Twin-islands type container ships.

OPEN LOOP SYSTEM
OPEN LOOP SYSTEM
Seawater taken from outboard is sprayed into the scrubber tower to clean the exhaust gas and separate and absorb SOx.
This cleaning method that utilizes the alkalinity of seawater does not require additional chemicals, and the seawater used for cleaning is discharged as waste water.
Its simple configuration and relatively easy installation make it suitable for retrofitting.
HYBRID SYSTEM
HYBRID SYSTEM
In addition to an open loop system, it also has a closed loop cleaning system, so it is widely called a "hybrid".
With the closed loop system, fresh water or seawater is sprayed into the scrubber tower as wash water to clean the exhaust gas and separate and absorb SOx. The wash water is collected in the circulating water tank and used again as wash water.
Because the wash water after exhaust gas cleaning absorbs SOx and becomes acidic, the pH in the circulation line is controlled to maintain a certain range by injecting caustic soda while monitoring the pH.
In addition, while monitoring the increase in specific gravity of the circulating water, a part of the water is sent to a discharge water treatment system and treated to maintain its properties.
Furthermore, the circulating water is cooled by a heat exchanger using seawater as a low heat source in order to maintain the temperature of circulating water exposed to high-temperature exhaust gas constant.

Container package of auxiliaries for hybrid system
This is an optional devices as packaged containers where main auxiliaries of hybrid system are modularized and built into. Since this container package can also be mounted on an exposed deck, it is possible to plan installation with minimal changes on ships with limited space.
During installation, the main work consists of connecting piping and electric cables to the container, so the installtion period can be shortened considerably.
Stainless steel tank containers for sodium hydroxide storage can also be provided.
This device reduces the risk of leakage and corrosion and improves reliability because large scale installation work of hull structural tank and internal paint work is unnecessary.
This device can flexibly respond to future tank increases or decreases.
