Trent 1000 is the 5th generation of the three-shaft Trent family of engines developed by Rolls-Royce in the UK. It is an environmentally-friendly engine with 27-35 tons of thrust, which has dramatically improved combustion efficiency so as to significantly reduce emissions.
It obtained type certificate in 2007 and entered into service along with Boeing 787 in 2011. MHIAEL is responsible for manufacture of the combustor module and the low pressure turbine blade as a risk sharing partner.
