The 21st and 22nd Sessions of the CSR Committee

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Group, to position CSR (corporate social responsibility) at the core of its management structure, has established a CSR Committee and proactively pursues CSR activities in order to "continually emphasize social perspectives, meet the expectations of society, and aim to be a trusted company." The CSR Committee is chaired by the officer in charge of CSR (Head of Business Strategy Office), and comprises the CFO, CTO, General Counsel (GC), and the officer in charge of Human Resources (HR).

    A summary of the CSR Committee's 21st and 22nd Sessions follows.

    The 21st Session

    2. Proceedings

    (1) Report on measures for expansion of ESG disclosure
    The Committee reported on the progress of measures to expand ESG disclosure.

    (2) Consideration of new ESG measures
    To respond to the social situation, such as increasing ESG investment, the Committee resolved to have committee members and relevant departments reconsider action items and content of ESG measures, and to discuss the findings of those considerations at the 22nd Session.

    2. Proceedings

    (1) Consideration of new ESG measures
    The Committee confirmed the ESG plans considered by relevant departments in response to the 21st CSR Committee. Also, the Committee resolved that the progress of plans would be confirmed by the CSR Committee at the end of each fiscal year.

    (2) Consideration of previous and future CSR activities
    The Committee reviewed previous CSR activities and exchanged opinions on future activities, and determined to make further considerations internally on CSR activities going forward, and to discuss further at the next CSR Committee meeting.
