LE-9

The LE-9 rocket engine, which has 1.4 times the thrust of the LE-7A engine, was developed as the first stage engine for the H3 rocket. This engine utilizes Japan‘s unique expander bleed cycle method, which has been successfully applied in the LE-5 engine series, and has been scaled up for high thrust for the first time in the world. The H3 rocket will be equipped with either two or three LE-9 engines in the first stage.
