・ Demonstrates that our products deliver a broad range of value—not only in performance, but also in customer satisfaction and ease of use based on actual user experience
Tokyo, October 8, 2026 - Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems, Ltd. (MHI Thermal Systems), a part of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Group, announced that its residential and commercial air-conditioners marketed through its Australian subsidiary, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioners Australia, Pty. Ltd. (MHIAA), have once again received high ratings from leading consumer rating organizations and product review sites in Australia in 2026.
MHIAA was recognized by consumer advocacy organization CHOICE® with its 2026 "Best Brand (Air Conditioners)", marking its eighth win overall. CHOICE® is an independent Australian consumer advocacy group with a 60-year history and membership exceeding 200,000 consumers. The award evaluates brands based on a combination of independent product testing and consumer feedback, from perspectives including product performance, reliability, customer satisfaction, and likelihood to recommend.
MHIAA's air conditioners received "Canstar's 2026 Most Satisfied Customers - Installed Air Conditioners," presented by Canstar, a leading Australian product review site. This marks the seventh time MHIAA has received this award. MHIAA received the highest rating of five stars in all evaluation categories: Overall satisfaction, Value for money, Performance, Features & functionality, Quietness, and Design. Canstar conducts surveys of thousands of Australians each year across hundreds of product and service categories.
At the Customer Satisfaction Awards 2026 conducted by Finder, an Australian product comparison and review site, MHIAA's air conditioners were named winners in six categories(Note), including "Most Loved Air Conditioner" among others, and received a Highly Commended recognition in the "Easy to Clean Air Conditioner" category. The "Finder Awards" are among the most widely recognized consumer awards in Australia, based on feedback from consumers who actually use air-conditioners and cover a broad range of criteria, including performance, reliability, value for money, ease of use, and overall likelihood to recommend.
The successive high ratings received from three third-party organizations with different evaluation criteria — Canstar, CHOICE®, and Finder—demonstrate that MHIAA's air conditioners provide a broad range of value to customers, not only in terms of performance but also in areas such as customer satisfaction and ease of use based on actual product experiences. The high ratings from actual users further underscore the high level of customer satisfaction across a wide range of usage environments in Australia.
Encouraged by these endorsements, MHI Thermal Systems will continue to leverage the advanced technological capabilities cultivated in Japan and the MHI Group's broad range of heating and cooling technologies to develop products and services suited to the climate, lifestyles, and needs of customers in Australia and other regions.
- The six categories are: "Most Loved Air Conditioner," "Top Value Air Conditioner," "Most Reliable Air Conditioner," "Easiest to Use Air Conditioner," "Top Performance Air Conditioner," and "Most Recommended Air Conditioner."
