MITSUBISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES Group participates in SMART GRID EXPO, with the theme of "Energy Transition for Decarbonized Societies", exhibiting 4 corners within our booth. The main exhibits include "Stable supply of clean energy" by using hydrogen and renewable energy, "Decarbonization of industrial energy" with optimizing the energy usage by industrial users, and "Decarbonization solutions throughout energy supply chain" which is a combination of these essences. In addition, we introduce our activities for DX, meaning digital transformation, which is a key factor for promoting energy transition toward "Realization of decarbonized societies".

Consept
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Group regards "Realization of a decarbonized society" as an important theme in tackling climate change caused by greenhouse gases. We, as a company playing key roles in social infrastructure, believe that it is our important responsibility to focus on these issues. In this exhibition, the energy transition toward decarbonized societies is introduced in four sections from the viewpoints of ‘stable supply of clean energy’, ‘effective use of renewable energy’, and ‘optimization of energy supply and demand in industries’. We also introduce our total energy solution services "ENERGY CLOUD (TM) Service" using AI/IoT technologies to realize this energy-transition initiative.

Power
This corner introduces hydrogen power generation technology, solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) system and large-scale energy storage systems, which are important elements in realizing decarbonized societies. Demonstration projects applying our accumulated power generation technologies to hydrogen power generation are expanding worldwide, and the examples are presented in this corner.
Industry
This corner introduces "decarbonization solution" for industrial customers. Solutions put in place are how to make existing self-generation assets less carbon emission and how to make renewable energy resources more stable. In these cases, we provide the service to customers through "ENERGY CLOUD ® Service", our unique total energy solution based on AI/IoT.

Solution
Solution Corner introduces "Business Support Solutions" for various businesses by utilizing our AI/IoT technology. Specifically, these solutions are how to optimize energy supply and demand at manufacturing plants, how to use effectively hydrogen at petrochemical plants, and how to make business operations in the energy supply business more profitable. These solutions are provided with our customers through DX (digital transformation) -focused services as comprehensive digital solutions: "TOMONI™" (Mitsubishi Power, Ltd.), and "ENERGY CLOUD (TM) Service" (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.).
