MHPS Opens "Steam Turbine Technical Training Center" At Yokohama Works (Honmoku Area)

Yokohama, July 2, 2014 - Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, Ltd. (MHPS) opened a new "Steam Turbine Technical Training Center" today on the premises of its Yokohama Works (Honmoku Area). The new facility is aimed at cultivating human resources capable of responding immediately to customer demands by mastering and enhancing power plant maintenance technologies through training on an actual steam turbine with an output of 250 megawatts (MW). The training center will also be utilized to pass on skills to young workers. To mark the facility's opening, a ceremony of completion was held along with a special prayer for its safe operation.
