MCO Saudi Arabia Limited (hereinafter “MCOSA”) hereby announces that, effective July 1, 2025, Mr. SHIMIZU Koji has stepped down from his role as President, and Mr. KAWANO Takuya has been appointed as the new President of MCOSA.

Mr. Kawano joined Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. in 2000, where he was engaged in the planning and execution of factory commissioning operations for compressors and steam turbines. In 2012, he was assigned to MHI Brazil (MHIB), and in 2016 he contributed to the establishment of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor do Brasil Ltda. (MCO-B) as a founding member. In 2017, he returned to the MCO’s Production Division, where he has since been deeply involved in managing comprehensive turnaround service projects, primarily in Singapore and Saudi Arabia.

Upon assuming his new position, President Kawano stated:

“The Middle East is experiencing remarkable progress in energy transition and has become a highly strategic market for after-sales services. It is imperative that we accurately understand our customers’ evolving needs and deliver high-quality, reliable services with speed and precision. Through proactive engagement—including Voice of Customer (VOC) collection and Value-up proposals focused on energy efficiency and decarbonization—we aim to cultivate new business opportunities, strengthen trust-based relationships with our clients, and contribute to the stable operation of their plants.”

President Kawano will commence his duties at MCOSA’s headquarters in Al Khobar. Mr. Shimizu has returned to MCO in Hiroshima, where he will continue to serve within the organization.
