Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor International Corporation Announces Change in Leadership

HOUSTON, TX – April 8, 2019 – Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor International Corporation (MCO-I) today announced the appointment of Manabu Saga as President and Chairman of the Board, effective April 1, 2019. He succeeds Koji Otsuki, who has evolved and strengthened MCO-I’s presence significantly in his short time but will return to Japan for a new assignment by Mitsubishi Corporation (MC).

Mr. Saga started his career with MHI Hiroshima as a Turbine Engineer, and then worked with MHI Takasago as a Gas Turbine Engineer for three years. Throughout his career, Mr. Saga held Manager, Deputy General Manager, and General Manager positions in the MHI Turbomachinery Technical Division. With the establishment of MCO in 2010, he moved to the MCO Customer Service Division and held a General Manager role, before being promoted to Senior Vice President in the After Service Business.

Saga brings to MCO-I a deep understanding of managing the activities of multiple departments and developing new business opportunities that expand upon current capabilities and will continue to create a strong presence in the market.

Saga is based at MCO-I’s North American sales and service headquarters, Pearland Works, located just south of Houston, TX.
