Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor International Announces Change in Leadership

HOUSTON, TX – April 7, 2017 – Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor International Corporation (MCO-I) today announced the appointment of Koji Otsuki as President and Chairman of the Board, effective April 1, 2017. He succeeds Masanori Kobayashi, who is appointed Senior Vice President with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor Corporation (MCO) in Hiroshima, Japan.

Mr. Otsuki began his career with Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) in 1985 in the Heavy Machinery Department. Throughout his career with MC, Otsuki rose to manage various business areas including machinery, project development, and infrastructure and industrial finance. In his most recent role as General Manager of Environment Business, R&D Dept. , he was responsible for the cumulative business activities of the department and affiliate companies, reporting to world headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.

Otsuki brings to MCO-I a deep understanding of managing the activities of multiple departments and developing new business opportunities that expand upon current capabilities and create a strong presence in the market.
