MCO Wins Integrally Geared Compressor for CO2 Recovery Plant in Qatar

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor Corporation (MCO), has received an order of integrally geared compressor for carbon dioxide (CO₂) recovery plant in Qatar.

The compressor will be used to re-use CO₂ in the methanol production process after CO₂ is separated and recovered from fuel gas for boosting methanol production.

CO₂ recovery technology is utilized in many applications such as urea and methanol production, carbon capture & storage (CCS) and enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
