Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America Corrugating Machinery Division Announces New President

The Corrugating Machinery Division of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, a leading supplier of corrugating and box-making machinery, is pleased to announce the assignment of Hiroyuki Kikumoto as new President.

Kikumoto is replacing Shoji Isoai, who will be assuming a leadership role at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Machinery Systems (MHI-MS) in Mihara, Hiroshima Japan, after a successful four-year tenure as President, MHIA Corrugating Machinery Division.

Kikumoto has been leading sales efforts as Senior Vice President, Sales for the North American market, comprising the United States, Canada, and Mexico, since 2021. As President, the 33year Mitsubishi veteran will continue to work in close collaboration with the sales, service, and parts teams.

Kikumoto’s appointment is a testament to MHIA’s legacy and commitment to the corrugated industry. Building on his successes thus far, Kikumoto will be responsible for driving sales, customer support and company innovations to new heights.

"We’re thrilled Kikumoto-san will continue to provide his invaluable leadership to the North American MHIA team,” said Shoji Isoai, Former President, MHIA Corrugating Machinery Division. “As I return to Japan, I know the company is well positioned for continued growth under his guidance.”

Kikumoto previously served as General Manager, Printing & Packaging Machinery Sales Department, at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Machinery Systems, Ltd., where he was responsible for global sales of its printing and paper converting machinery businesses. Previously, he was General Manager of the Corrugating Machinery Division for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Europe, Ltd. Earlier in his career, Kikumoto worked in increasingly responsible positions in Japan and in North America in printing and corrugating machine sales.
