Study on response and strength of fuel assemblies during an earthquake
Fuel assemblies are required to have sufficient mechanical strength to withstand the vibration caused by an earthquake and enable smooth insertion of control rods. Therefore, we conduct vibration tests on fuel assemblies and analyze the response of fuel assemblies based on the vibration characteristics obtained from the tests. We also conduct impact analysis to develop and improve earthquake-resistant components.
