Study on mechanical characteristics of fuel assemblies
Fuel assemblies are required to have mechanical strength to maintain their integrity throughout their in-service period in a reactor under severe conditions of high temperature and high pressure. Therefore, during the development and improvement of fuel assemblies, various analyses of the mechanical characteristics assuming the reactor internal environment and events are conducted, along with tests for verification.
