Successful Completion of APM Vehicles Delivery and Installation for Miami International Airport North Terminal Revamp Project
Miami, Florida – November 18, 2025 – Crystal Mover Services, Inc. (CMSI) has successfully completed the delivery and on-site installation of four additional APM vehicles as part of the Miami International Airport North Terminal Revamp Project.
The lifting operation was conducted during overnight hours, starting at midnight, and required the temporary closure of aircraft gates to minimize impact on airport operations. Through close coordination among all parties and thorough preparation, all four vehicles were successfully installed on the guideway shortly after 2:00 a.m. vehicle entry into the maintenance and storage facility was subsequently completed at approximately 3:30 a.m. The work was executed with a high level of efficiency and safety.
Although the project team had initially considered performing the lifting work over two separate days, the operation progressed more efficiently than anticipated. As a result, all lifting activities were completed within a single day, exceeding the original plan.
Given the operational constraints associated with gate closures, the project required extensive advance coordination with the airport authority as well as airline stakeholders. More than six months of planning and continuous discussions were undertaken to align schedules and operational requirements. The proactive involvement of the on-site team and effective stakeholder engagement were key factors in achieving execution as planned.
Despite schedule pressures caused by external constraints, the lifting operation was completed ahead of the airport’s peak operational period and earlier than originally scheduled, providing a high level of assurance and satisfaction to the customer.
CMSI will continue with vehicle setup and on-site testing while remaining committed to delivering safe, reliable, and efficient project implementation while supporting stable airport operations.
