The Atlanta Skytrain carries passengers between the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport's Main Airport Terminal, Rental Car, and Long-Term Parking Facilities as well as the Georgia International Conference Center together with its surrounding hotels. Opening for service in 2009, it comprises of 12 train cars running in 2 car train formations with the flexibility to increase or decrease capacity as needed. The system runs above ground with a dedicated offline maintenance facility supporting all vehicle inspections, servicing, and overhauls.
