Energy-Efficient Lighting Upgrade

As part of our commitment to sustainable operations and employee well-being, we completed a plant-wide lighting upgrade across our manufacturing facility. This initiative enhances workplace safety, supports precision workmanship, and improves overall comfort for our teams, while significantly reducing energy consumption and ongoing maintenance requirements.

This project reflects our ongoing focus on environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and operational excellence as core pillars of our ESG strategy.

Environmental Responsibility

Environmental considerations were integrated throughout the project. All removed materials — including metal components, wiring, and packaging — were carefully segregated and disposed of in accordance with applicable waste management and recycling standards. This approach minimized environmental impact, avoided safety risks, and reinforced our commitment to responsible resource management.

Reducing Waste Through Reusable Shipping Solutions

In our ongoing effort to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency, our teams have reimagined how wings and fuselages are secured during transit. What once depended on single use shrink wrap is evolving into a smarter, greener, and more cost-effective shipping solution.

Current State

Today, our shipping process relies heavily on shrink wrap to secure components during transportation. While effective, this approach generates significant plastic waste, requires additional manual handling — including cutting, heat application, and disposal — and results in recurring material costs for every shipment. Although functional, the process is resource-intensive and misaligned with our long-term sustainability objectives.

Future State

The introduction of reusable shipping covers represents a meaningful step forward. These covers secure components effectively without the use of single-use plastics or heat-based tools and can be reused multiple times. This transition reduces waste generation, lowers recurring costs, improves safety by eliminating blow torch use, and saves time through a more standardized and efficient shipping process.

Most importantly, this initiative directly supports our ESG strategy by advancing environmental stewardship, operational excellence, and employee safety.

Continuous Improvement

This initiative reflects the innovative mindset of our Industrial Engineering team and their commitment to advancing sustainable practices across our operations. By transitioning to reusable shipping covers, we are not only reducing waste and costs but also reinforcing our role as responsible and forward-looking manufacturers.
