MHI Low Carbon Solutions Canada, ULC (MHI LCSC) is a company dedicated to expanding these carbon capture technologies in the Canadian market.

MHI LCSC is a Canada-based subsidiary, wholly owned by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc., located in the United States. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. is, in turn, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.

The company was established on November 21, 2022, as MHIENG Canada, ULC under the Business Corporations Act of the Province of Alberta. The company name was subsequently changed to MHI Low Carbon Solutions Canada, ULC on December 15, 2022.

President

Satoshi Nakamura is the President of MHI LCSC and was the first employee to be transferred from MHI in Japan to develop the organization.

Satoshi is driven by a strong commitment to advancing decarbonization initiatives and serves as a bridge between Canada and Japan, contributing to the development of carbon capture and other clean energy technologies in Canada with MHI's world leading technology.

With approximately 30 years of plant engineering experience, Satoshi has held key roles including Project Director, Project Manager, Engineering Manager, Commissioning Manager, and Process Lead. Throughout his career, Satoshi has led multidisciplinary engineering teams and successfully delivered complex power generation and environmental projects.
Satoshi has extensive expertise in plant design, commissioning, engineering coordination, and large-scale project management, along with proven leadership in managing global teams.
His deep understanding of both the MHI Group and Canada's evolving decarbonization market uniquely positions him to lead the company's growth and strengthen its presence in the region.

 

Robert Reynolds

Robert Reynolds
Business Development Director

Robert Reynolds is a professional engineer with over 25 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas and mining industries. Prior to joining MHI LCSC, Rob held senior leadership roles with an international oil and gas company where he was responsible for leading global mergers and acquisition initiatives and heading the Canadian Business Unit. Rob has extensive expertise in business development, asset development, capital planning and commercial negotiations. Rob is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA). He graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science (Mining Engineering) degree and from the University of Calgary with a Masters Business Administration with a specialization in Finance.

MHI Low Carbon Solutions Canada, ULC. is an APEGA Permit Holder, licensed by the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Alberta to provide engineering services in Alberta.
