About Us
The history of collaboration between MHI and Vestas dates back to April 2014. For more than seven years, the two companies have worked together in the areas of design, development, manufacturing, sales, installation, and maintenance. These joint efforts improved the competitiveness of offshore wind power generation worldwide. MHI Vestas Japan Co., Ltd. was established in February 2021 as an evolution of the collaboration between the two companies to provide solutions as the sole distributor of Vestas wind turbines for the Japanese market.

- Policy proposals and recommendation through deregulation subcommittees of public-private councils and technical committees of JWPA (Japan Wind Power Association)

- Proposal of turbine type and turbine layout for maximum power production
- Design optimization by coupled load analysis of wind turbines and supporting structures taking into account unique conditions in Japan such as earthquakes, typhoons, etc.
- Technical support for certification review (Class NK, CDIT) and obtaining wind farm certificate and construction permit.
- Participation to technical committee activities such as public-private council deregulation subcommittees and JWPA.
