MHI-MME released the new frame size "MET37MB" in MET-MB family

Tokyo, Japan, December 13, 2017 - Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Marine Machinery & Equipment Co., Ltd. (MHI-MME) added a new frame size "MET37MB" turbocharger in MET-MB series. MET37MB capacity is designed at the flow range between MET33MB and MET42MB, which becomes optimum selection for better performance, lower cost and easy installation layout.

MET37MB is now applicable to all three 2-stroke engine brands, Japan Engine Corporation (J-ENG), MAN Diesel & Turbo SE (MDT) and Winterthur Gas & Diesel Ltd. (WinGD).
Following is the major engine types that MET37MB may apply - depending on engine rating.

J-ENG:6UEC33LSE-C2, 6UEC35LSE-Eco-B2, 7UEC33LSE-C2, 7UEC35LSE-Eco-B2

MDT: 5G40ME-C9.5, 6G40ME-C9.5, 5S40ME-B9.5, 7S30ME-B9.5,
    8S30ME-B9.5, 5S35ME-B9.5, 6S35ME-B9.5, 7S35ME-B9

WinGD:5X35-B, 6X35-B, 7X35-B, 5X40-B, 6X40-B, 7X40-B

The first MET37MB has been already ordered to MHI-MME from China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. (CSE) and delivered on November 2017.
This first turbocharger will mount on 6UEC33LSE-C2.

MET-MB series has been developed in 2008 and now there are 10 frame sizes, MET33/37/42/48/53/60/66/71/83/90MB. Expanding lineup of MET-MB series is outstanding in axial turbocharger market and respond to the variety of engine needs.

MET Turbocharger boasts the world's largest market share of the 2-stroke marine engine market and it is preferred from the ship-owner and operation company. MHI-MME assures to meet all the ship owner, shipyard and engine makers requirement by putting MET37MB on the markets.
