Tokyo, Japan, February 19, 2015 - Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Marine Machinery & Engine Co., Ltd. (MHI-MME) held the second User Conference in Imabari, on February 18.

It has been a year since the last event in Imabari was held. The Conference took place with 70 guests who were mainly with Imabari ship owners and the MHI-MME staff. This year, MHI-MME introduced the latest topics of the Low Pressure EGR system under development which will fully comply with IMO Tier III.

MHI-MME's Low Pressure EGR* system is designed to achieve lower equipment and operational costs, compared with high pressure types, by installing EGR in the downstream side of the exhaust gas economizer. In addition, the simple structure enables high reliability.

Based on our preliminary survey, the presentation of after-sales services included a menu for UE engines, MET turbochargers and propellers, which responds to the customers' feedback.

MHI-MME positions the user conference as a valuable opportunity to strain our ears to listen to our costumer's voices. MHI-MME will respond to the customers' expectations of the products and services by promoting communication with our customers.
