Tokyo, Japan, March 31st, 2014 - This April Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Marine Machinery & Engine Co., Ltd. (MHI-MME) will station additional marine machinery resident engineers in London (UK), Singapore, and Los Angeles (USA) to expand their global service network.

So far, MHI-MME has stationed their resident engineers in Hamburg (Germany), Singapore, Shanghai (China), and Busan (Korea). However, from this April three additional resident engineers from the marine machinery division will be stationed at the Group companies of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI).

On April 1st, MHI-MME will move its office from Hamburg to London, where the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Europe, Ltd. (MHIE) head office is located. Stationing both marine engine and marine machinery resident engineers at this office will make it easier for MHI-MME to provide services to customers. Also, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Engineering & Services Private Ltd. (MIES) in Singapore will station an additional marine machinery engineer from this April, which will enable it to provide both marine engine and marine machinery services.

MHI-MME will also station new resident engineer staff at Los Angels office of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc.(MHIA) from April.

The stationing of marine machinery resident engineers is a part of MHI-MME's efforts to achieve its three major strategies of "Globalization", "Reinforcement of After-Sales Services" and "Promotion of Project MEET**". MHI-MME will strengthen its relationship with MHI's global group companies so as to construct a platform for providing better services to customers.
