MHPS Receives Order for Two Steam Turbines and Generators for Singapore Waste-to-Energy Project

Yokohama, June 28, 2016 ― Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) has received an order for two steam turbines and generators for a large-scale Waste-to-Energy (WTE) project being advanced by the Singaporean National Environment Agency (NEA). The 120 MW class WTE generation facility will be a stoker-type*Note with the capacity to process 3,600 tons of waste daily, and will be delivered through Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Environmental & Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. (MHIEC) who are also involved in the project. The facility is scheduled to commence operations in the first half of 2019.
