MHPS Receives Order for Gas Turbine to be Supplied to Larsen & Toubro of India for Installation at Bangladesh Power Development Board GTCC Plant

Yokohama, April 19, 2016 -- Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, Ltd. (MHPS) has received an order for an M701F4 gas turbine to be installed at the Bibiyana-III Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) to be developed by the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB). The gas turbine will serve as the core of the 400 megawatt (MW) natural gas-fired, gas turbine combined cycle (GTCC) power generation plant. MHPS will supply the gas turbine to Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) of India, a technology, engineering, construction and manufacturing company entrusted with construction of the power plant on an EPC basis under Marubeni Corporation, the prime contractor of the power plant construction project. The Bibiyana-III CCPP is slated to go on-stream in 2018.
