MHI-ESA Strengthens Social Impact Through Community-Centered CSR Initiatives Across Singapore

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Engine System Asia (MHI-ESA) has completed a meaningful series of community engagement programs over the past months, demonstrating the company’s continued commitment to the Social (S) pillar of ESG. Through volunteerism, partnership and hands-on support, employees came together to make a positive difference across communities in Singapore.

Key highlights:

  • First-Ever Blood Donation Drive (29 August 2025): In partnership with the Singapore Red Cross and HSA Blood Bank, employees donated blood at the Westgate Tower Bloodbank, offering hope, compassion, and life-saving support to the community.
  • Food for Hope 2025 (26 September 2025): As part of MHI Group’s Asia Pacific community outreach and in collaboration with Ascending Hope Community Services, volunteers brought warmth to elderly residents through shared meals, Mid-Autumn celebration, and heartfelt conversation that fostered connection and championship.
  • Supporting Young Children (3 October 2025): Together with Marymount Centre, MHI-ESA brought 20 courageous girls for a joyful outing at Universe Studios Singapore creating moments of laughter, confidence, and care through shared meals and meaningful interactions.

These initiatives reaffirm the company’s commitment to creating positive, meaningful, and lasting impact beyond the workplace.

Supporting Healthcare Through Our First Blood Donation Drive

On 29 August 2025, MHI-ESA held its first-blood donation drive, conducted in partnership with the Singapore Red Cross and HSA Blood Bank. Employees visited the Westgate Tower Bloodbank to donate blood, contributing directly to Singapore’s national blood reserve.

The initiative marks an important step forward in nurturing a culture of compassion and volunteerism, one where employees come together not only as colleagues, but as a community that cares.

Food for Hope 2025: Caring for the Elderly Community

On 26 September 2025, MHI-ESA joined MHI Group’s Asia Pacific community outreach efforts continued through Food for Hope 2025, delivered in collaborated with Ascending Hope Community Services at Bras Basah Complex.

Volunteers engaged with elderly residents through meaningful conversations, shared meals, and Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations, creating moments of warmth, togetherness and joy. To further brighten their day, MHI-ESA distributed its signature SORA, Blue Dragon mascot plushie, symbolizing comfort, care and championship.

The initiative reinforced the importance of dignity and connection in caring for vulnerable members of the community.

Creating Joyful Moments for Children

On 3 October 2025, MHI-ESA collaborated with Marymount Centre to bring 20 courageous girls for a heartwarming outing to Universe Studios Singapore.

The day began with a friendly brunch, offering the girls and volunteers a chance to bond before exploring the park. Throughout the visit, employees provided encouragement, emotional support, and joyful companionship.

The outing concluded with a comforting dinner together, reinforcing a sense of belonging and togetherness. As a gesture of care, each girl received a blue dragon mascot plushie - SORA, a symbol of hope and encouragement to remind them they are supported and cared for.

Beyond a fun excursion, the experience aimed to inspire collaboration, spark joy, and let every girl feel valued and seen.
