Mitsubishi Group contributes to the daily operation
The safety of nuclear power plant is supported by whole personnel that participate in the nuclear power generation. The Mitsubishi group established a specialized affiliate company to train nuclear power plant operators to support day-to-day operation. MHI and the electric power companies who adopted PWR nuclear power plant jointly established Nuclear Power Training Center Ltd.(NTC) in 1972. NTC trains the PWR nuclear power plant operators in Japan. PWR nuclear power plants are located in five prefectures in Japan. Each year, up to 3,000 operators dispatched from these power plants have strived for training. The instructors in charge of operator training include those who experienced design and commissioning in plant vendors, experienced operators in utility companies, and those who received instructor training in the NTC.
