TOGETHER WITH CUSTOMERS

Ensuring long-term customer satisfaction is a basic goal shared by MHIET as product developer, our authorized distributors who oversee product sales, and our installation contractors. We offer a variety of unique services to ensure your engines will continue to operate stably far into the future.

Overseas remote monitoring service

In some foreign areas, the power grid is unstable and outages often occur during severe weather conditions. For this reason, our power generation engines are widely used as primary power sources at production sites. Consequently, the failure of a power generation engine would result in a considerable inconvenience for users.
To address this concern, some plants employing our engines for stationary power generation use remote monitoring service provided by our overseas affiliates. The monitoring system maintains a constant watch over power generation plant operations for signs of a breakdown 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Accurate cause analysis ensures prompt restoration and saves time and manpower for on-site management.

Preventive maintenance recommendation

MHIET encourages customers to implement preventive maintenance in order to ensure their machines do not deteriorate to a level that results in performance degradation or stoppage. With engines for stationary power generation, there is a widespread understanding of the necessity to conduct routine inspections and scheduled parts replacement, but the need for preventive maintenance is less recognized on engines for emergency power generation. Even if they are not used for an extended period of time, engine parts and materials such as oil, rubber, gaskets and electrical parts will inevitably deteriorate. Preventive maintenance is essential to ensure engines deliver their intended performance during an emergency. The primary purpose of preventive maintenance is to ensure that, even in the unlikely event of an emergency, customers continue business as usual and maintain their credibility as a business entity.

User orientation

After installing new engines, MHIET provides an orientation service covering an annual maintenance plan for ensuring stable operation and daily maintenance to be performed by users. We give a lecture on the basics of general maintenance at the time of handover (delivery) in the first year, preventive maintenance in the second and subsequent years, and overhaul in the tenth year.
