Delivery of Cruise Ship to AIDA Cruises to be Delayed

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) has determined to delay delivery of its first large-sized next-generation cruise ship to AIDA Cruises that had been scheduled for delivery in September. Construction of the vessel, which is to incorporate cutting-edge technologies for ensuring optimal safety and improving efficiency and to include new automation procedures in order to save on manpower, has been proceeding toward the planned delivery date. MHI is now working closely with AIDA Cruises to set a new handover schedule that will ensure delivery of a first class passenger ship - the largest ever built for the cruise operator - of the very highest levels of quality, comfort and entertainment.

We will announce the rescheduled delivery date as soon as a final decision has been reached in the matter.
