Overview Explore the world-leading technology found in the H-IIA and H-IIB launch vehicles, and the engines that propel these rockets into space. From manufacturing through to launch, MHI Group oversees all phases of H-IIA and H-IIB launch missions, and this exhibition details these rockets with scale models and launch videos. An actual LE-7A rocket engine and propulsion valves are also on display, alongside explanations that highlight the superior performance and technical features of these products.
A model of Japan’s new mainstay launch vehicle, the H3, currently under joint development with JAXA is also on exhibit. Slated for its maiden launch in 2020, the H3 exhibit introduces the high flexibility and reliability features achieved through diversified launch vehicle configurations.
